Since yesterday, Foursquare has begun converting accounts with more than 1000 friends to “celebrity” accounts. In particular, the first 100 friends will remain friends, all the others will be shifted under the “Followers” category and all the new people will find on the profile a “Follow” instead of a “Add as friend” button, meaning no more confirmation e-mails spamming the inbox.
I’d like to rapidly reach 1000 friends to have this account switch, so I started to randomly send out friend requests (actually not so randomly, pretty girls are preferred), but I found out this morning that there’s a limit of how many pending friend requests a user can have, and the number is 500:
So, basically, there are 500 Foursquare users right now that already have received a friend request from me (with consequent e-mail alert) that still have to decide if to accept or not. Cool. I’d just say: hurry up, mates!
